Anybody else getting personalized bonus emails from Absolute reps?
The other day I got an email from a rep for Absolute saying something to the effect of he was assigned to be my liason to the site and was offering me a personalized bonus.
The bonus offered in the email was, I believe (at work right now so I don't have it in front of me), 20% on my deposit as normal bonus (no max specified), $15 cash added to my account to use immidiately, plus two free entries into some tournaments. I wasn't sure if it was legit at first, but the email was from an absolutepoker.com address. Then the guy actually called me today to ask if I got his email. Anyway, I talked to him for a while and asked if there was a limit to how much I could deposit. Basically he said the max pending bonus he could put into my account was $210 (the standard Absolute max bonus), but we could talk about something extra if I wanted to deposit a significant amount, and he'd also do a 5% instant cash bonus instead of the $15 he originally offered. Just wondering if anyone else is getting these since it's kind of an interesting way to do bonuses. |

I got a similar e-mail....but I hate absolute's software so likely won't be doing it.
I got a phone call from them a couple months ago with a generally similar idea (wanted to know my thoughts on AP...and offered me a bonus) and I shared my ideas on their slow software with them. |

Re: Anybody else getting personalized bonus emails from Absolute reps?
I got one of those a couple of months ago, it was legit. They gave me $11 plus a 20% bonus; the $11 was added to my real money account (I could play with it, but not withdraw until I cleared it), and the 20% went to my bonus account (had to clear before I could do anything with it).
The software has its problems (I think there are some memory leaks somewhere), but I prefer their tournament structure to Party's; it's similar to the structure at Stars, but the players seem fishier. I do wish their tables held 10 instead of 9 players. -Mike |

I received the offer and made the deposit. No problems thus far.

Nope, a lowly $1/$2 player is not valued I guess

Nope, a lowly $1/$2 player is not valued I guess [/ QUOTE ] A buddy of mine got this offer in a phone call and he plays $.50/$1 or $1/$2. He hadn't played there in awhile so maybe that's what they are looking at. |
