Why is it a bad idea?

I can only go by what i read, since i don't play anywhere near that high, but SpiritRock seems both good and loose/aggressive. Which makes for lower win rates than you can find elsewhere, and higher variance.

Spirit rock is the toughest allaround online no limit player in the world. Thus playing him three-handed is probably gonna be negative EV.

Bruiser is well aware of SR's rep in these sorts of games. For whatever reason, he has decided to play against him nonetheless quite a bit recently. I don't see how it advances the discussion to tell him that his game selection sucks.

SR is almost always playing the 25/50 and if bruiser is going to play that game he is most likely going to have to deal with SR. Obviously if the 25/50 and 10/25 are games bruiser wants to play then he already has a minimal game selection with about 6 total tables to choose from, half of which are usually empty. Also if bruiser doesnt need the money then playing SR will only make him better, which is +EV in the long run, right?

GoG plays against SR all the time, nobody's giving him sh*t for it are we?

i would think over the long run playing against SR would be -EV but in the short run while anybody's who's been sweating the 25/50 NL games knows how he plays, he won't know how you play so pulling off some of these plays could be profitable. not to say i would ever stick my nose in that game or anything though.

Aren't you telegraphing your hand? This seems like a betting pattern very consistent with missed diamonds. I think if you wanted to look less like a missed draw, a c-r all in on the river might be better, but it would sure suck if he checks it back (unless he has worse than K-high). Also it would suck if he went all in on the river. He's known to do this, right?

Anyway, I'm very unsure of your line but don't know how to improve it. Hope it worked out.

If he has queens beat he is coming over the top of you. Otherwise I am sure he laid the hand down. Your betting represented strength which he would have to respect.
