5/10 AK hand
6 handed on full tilt. Villain on button w/ 1200. I have him covered.
Three limpers, button raises to $30, which is his standard raise, regardless of the number of players. He's decent other than this wierd pre-flop tendency. He tends to overplay marginal hands. Anyway, he I reraise to $120 on the button w/ AK [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] All fold but him. Flop (~270) A J 7 rainbow I lead for $220 or so, he instantly min raises. I call. Turn is a brick. I check, he bets $450, leaving himself $500 or so. I raise all in. We've been playing for about half an hour and been in a lot of pots together, the majority of which I've won. I think I have an overly but not ridiculously aggressive image, so there's the definite possibility that he's making a play on me. The instant flop min raise made me especially suspicous. thanks for the input |

Re: 5/10 AK hand
I guess it's pretty hard to get away from this hand on the turn but it seems like you are definitely beat here. If I had to put him on a hand it would be AJ or a set of jacks. I personally like minraising my sets because it builds the pot and people feel like they need to call if you just doubled it.
The thing is, I don't think you are going to be ahead very much of the time here, and more than likely you have about zero fold equity but since it looks like the money will be going in anyway on the river, you might as well give the all in a shot. I'm honestly not sure what line to take here. Looking forward to see what happened. |

i was pretty sure from the insta-min raise he didn't have anything better than one pair, just from having played with him, i figured it was him raising for info w/ an ace, or setting up a turn bluff. anyway, he didn't take long to fold to my turn all in. he said he had AK, but i dont believe him.

Re: results
If I'm gonna call the min-raise, I push. Post-oak bluff min-raise time!!!! That's how I read this usually, especially at this level.
