Fold preflop - with the reraise you are almost certainly facing a small favorite / big dog situation and you are going to have to play it out of position for the rest of the hand plus the original raiser may cap this. Minus some pretty strong reads on all four of these players I let this go.
Raise the river |

The pre flop call is fine in my opinion your getting 6:1 on your call with huge implied odds if you hit your set.

mmmmmm I would have probably called PF too, especially with 2 callers before me, with 77 and up I like to see a flop.
Where was the 3 bet on the river? with the very outside chance of someone having 22, you are behind only 2 hands. Regards D |

I really like the river check-threebet. Next time pull the trigger.

Easy call preflop. We are getting 13:2 if UTG calls, 17:3 if he caps which is less good but not terrible. Flop and turn are fine, but is anyone else worried when MP1 wakes up and caps the turn? Does that scream QQ from a "clever" slowplaying fish, or am I seeing monsters? For that reason, and also UTG+2 not stopping, I think it is hard to know whether the check-three-bet or check call is best on the river. If they are reasonable postflop, even though only 99 and QQ are ahead of you, it would be hard to see what either of them would be betting like this. OTOH, maybe they were laggy, in which case, 3-bet and cap.

The cap on the turn scared me. It had me thinking QQ. Definately should have raise the river though.

I'm not sold on the river 3-bet unless MP1 is a little laggy

you're getting 12.5-2 immediate on your preflop call, with the original PFR either making it 13.5-2 or 17.5-3 on your call (depending on whether he calls or caps). so, needing 7.5-1 to hit your set, you will need to make up either about 4 or about 9 small bets postflop to make this +EV, which should be a piece of cake with your excellent relative position to the raisers - you can trap the whole field with a checkraise.
I call. |

Would a check raise been a better of action on the flop or perhaps the turn?
