Default check this one out

Back up to t2800 again after this resteal called:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (10 handed) converter

UTG (t960)
UTG+1 (t4730)
UTG+2 (t1327)
MP1 (t3315)
MP2 (t954)
MP3 (t3043)
CO (t3945)
Button (t2065)
SB (t3298)
Hero (t1405)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
5 folds, MP3 raises to t300, 3 folds, Hero raises to t1405 (All-In), MP3 calls t1105.

Flop: (t2860) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Turn: (t2860) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t2860) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t2860

Results in white below:
Hero has Ks 9h (high card, ace).
MP3 has 6d 5d (high card, ace).
Outcome: Hero wins t2860.

Guess he felt he had pot odds? As mentioned in the ZeeJustin EPT thread, it's not just about pot odds, it's also about survival. MP3 went home soon after this one.

Don, would you check-fold the river? Or play differently somewhere else?

Default I\'m done - Matasow moment

Had A9 in mp3. raised 300 got called by the sb. Ace rag rag. Got check raised after betting 500 into a 750 pot - sb all in. Like an idiot I called. SB had AKo and I was left with 450. Went out four hands later when dealt 33 in the small blind. Got beat with AQo when Q hit the turn!

Yuk. I don't like the river at all. At the very least if you're going to call his all-in bet, you should push yourself and I'm almost positive he'd lay down TT with two overs.

I saw this one too,

The flop do just like you....but

I'm not sure how I would have played the Turn.

Chances are good I would have went all-in on the turn or check-folded after he calls my substantial flop bet (check/folding much less likely)

But I'm not sure you're line isn't best....I'd have to think about it very hard...and I'm not gonna do that now.

The reason I like my line is that if I survive the hand I survive with a competitive stack. However, I think I gravitate to decisions that remove tough decisions on later streets because I'm not super confident in some plays. And if I made a potish bet on the turn and it got called I wouldn't know how to proceed on the river. I doubt I'd be able to muster another bet. And I would feel crappy if I folded to the enivitible river bet after I checked, because I also put money in on the turn.

Lloyd, are you playing from LV? How's it going? Heard you've been tearing up the $100 MTTs.
