What do you count in your bankroll?
A site sends me a free invitation to play in a satellite to a WPT event. Value is $25. I win that and get an entry into another tournament. Value $200. Do you guys include these values in your bankroll spreadsheet? I tend to think I should because if I win the main event and pocket $3 million, I'll include that.
any thought? |

Re: What do you count in your bankroll?
Count it when you cash it in, otherwise it's just another long shot.

Re: What do you count in your bankroll?
My bankroll to me is the amount of cash I can walk away with at any time. Free tournament buyins are nice, but as far as cash is concerned, it ain't worth crap (unless you can unregister and take the entry fee).

Re: What do you count in your bankroll?
I won a lottery ticket once - potential value £20m, sadly I lost - but I offset it against tax and if I ever win again I'm well up on the deal. Ok this is untrue but nevertheless it looks good on my spreadsheet.

Re: What do you count in your bankroll?
I play the steps on Party and play satellites on Stars. I count the entries and T$ in my win column and the losses in the other. For example, yesterday I played the $200 step and won so recorded a $319 win (535-216). Today I played the $500 and lost so recorded a $535 loss. The same works for the T$ at stars. The wins count even though they are technically satellite wins.
