PokerOffice
Anyone using it? It has some interesting features. Opinions as to how it stacks up v. PokerTracker? The fact that it uses MySQL makes it much more promising long term with large databases.

However, I'd be interested to know if anyone's used PokerOffice since I've been having trouble unloading and reloading Party tourney hand histories in PT. |

Re: PokerOffice
I use PO. I know some people don't seem to like it for some reason, but I really like it. The fact that it uses MySQL is very nice, and is very, very easy to import HH's.

Re: PokerOffice
I actually use and like both. I love the replayer of poker tracker and use it to analyze my sessions and tourneys.
I like the live tracker part of poker office. It gives you a nice look at your opponents in real time. Plus you can drop in on a table and start getting a read on players BEFORE you sit down. I wish poker office would let me specify a remote mysql server. I have some hefty iron in my network. Ciao |

Re: PokerOffice
umm, I'll try that but my big mysql server is Linux, not MS
I don't know why they don't just support ODBC. The MySQL odbc client is very fast and free. There is also native support for remote mysql clients (although I don't know about the licensing). If you're listening PokerOffice and PokerTracker, I want remote databases. :-) |

------------- Give me that and I'll be sharing a nice database with 4 of my friends, as well as my brother.... Though if they can do remote to mysql, then it wouldn't be a big jump to an Oracle DB - and if you could get a group of 10-15 very active players in it that could grow very nicely. Now I'd have a reason to buy a big db server for my home network... *droool* -Brad |
