Default Party settlements in discontinued S&G\'s

These things are not automatic. Leaving room for error. If it is against you and you don't recheck until the correct money hits your account it can be costly. Even checking and finding a mistake is aways from getting Party support to credit the proper amount. Sometimes it's hard to even get to see what the mistake is while sending form letters assuming that the player just doesn't understand their settlement policy.

My problem today was a $535 Step four was canceled with 8 players left, and a stack of T$1865, early this morning. Which should make the
settlement:

1. Half the prize pool($2500)X .1865 is $466.25.
2. $312.50 for being one of the remaining eight players with an equal share
of the other $2500.
3. $35 entry fee refunded.

Total: $813.75

In my second email to them I asked for the tournament history.

Thank you for contacting us.

The tournament histort shows that what I said was correct, but still after three emails, I don't have the money OR gotten someone to exactly look at WHAT I"M GODDAMN COMPLAINING ABOUT.<large amounts of spit being sprayed onto the keyboard>

It's over eight hours after the tournament has been canceled and Party has $813.75 of one of it's customers it should have. This is not right. The handling of it's player's money during a large scale settlement after a software/server problem should be automatic and error-free. I know that after several emails SOMEONE at Party customer support will clunk the heel of their hand to their forehead and say "Hey, we screwed up" and pay me, but I shouldn't have to go looking for MY $813.75.

<end rant>

I've always had good results calling them and asking for the initial rep's manager within 30 seconds if it's not going well. You usually get someone who speaks English and has a clue when they transfer you.

The thing is, that doesn't seem to be the proper amount according to Party's settlement policy

So, what you should get is:

1. Your original buy-in + fee $535
2. Your 1/8 share of the buy-ins of the two eliminated players. This is $1000/8 or $125

so, the settlement that you should get is $535+$125

or, $660.

You seem to be factoring in your chip standing at the time of the technical problem, and while I sympathize, Party makes no allowance for that. Still, it would seem from your post that Party has not paid you yet and that is unusual. They are normally very good about this sort of thing in my experience.

<walking to the front of the class sheepishly>

"Ah....There was not anything wrong with the settlement from Party."

"Ahem"

"And it was my mistake for not counting the prizes for the three players that were already gone and that since I used a freeroll seat that it was returned to me as part of my settlement."

"Ahem"

"And in the future I will make sure I have my facts straight before complaining in public"
