66 in MP - $5/$10
MP3 is 56/19/0.63 through 23 hands, although this is a small hand sample he is coming across as a LA-P.
Considering that he has not shown much aggression postflop in the previous hands, was my line on the turn/river a mistake? Looking at the hand again I think a fold to his turn raise would have been the best line. Supposing he had a 2+ aggression, would that make my line more acceptable? Also, any thoughts on the river bet/fold as opposed to a check/call? Re: 66 in MP - $5/$10
I think you can safely fold to his turn raise. There are very few draws he could be raising on a semi-bluff, and he could have flopped a big hand for which he decided to wait to raise on the turn.

Re: 66 in MP - $5/$10
I would not have be the river. There isn't really a hand better than yours that will fold here. You gain a lot more info about his hand by check/calling than bet/folding (since you get to see it), and there aren't many hands worse than yours that will be calling.
That being said, I'd probably fold the turn. Though if you call the turn, you're going to need to call the river as well. You don't have the pot odds to justify calling on a draw, so if you do call you must be assuming there's a good enough chance you have the best hand. Thus, if you aren't assuming that you might have the best hand, folding the turn is correct. |

I'll agree with the others and say fold the turn. You have a marginal hand as it is. The pot is also smallish.

Re: 66 in MP - $5/$10
Thanks, needed to hear that... I'm still working on my hand reading and effective use of GT+, and from this hand its obvious I have a ways to go.
One of the more difficult aspects of becoming a successful online player is that one must be able to preform these tasks on the fly. Hopefully by getting more involved in the forums I can get better as a player and reach some of my poker goals. |
