Question about monitor
Hi guys, Im pretty new here so Im sorry if the question Im about to ask is a frequent one. I looked in the FAQ thread and did a search and still couldnt find an answer to my question so I hope somebody can help me out.
Im going to start playing poker on the internet at the micro limits but for some reason my view of the poker room at the sight Im using is obscured, meaning that I cant see the bottom of the screen where the amount of money in the pot is listed, etc. The taskbar at the bottom of the page is in the way. Does this mean that I need a new monitor with a better resolution perhaps? Or is it something that can just be remedied by somehow removing the taskbar? My monitor is fairly old, but I'd rather not spend money on a new one right away if I can help it. TIA guys. -Mike |

Re: Question about monitor
See if you can change the resolution on the monitor.
Right click your desktop Go to Display Modes > High Color > All the way at the bottom will be the highest resolution supported. Oh, BTW, windows media has problems (in XP anyway) while resolution is at a higher setting . . . . hard to watch porn in the background while multi-tabling |

Re: Question about monitor
You can also try this:
1. Right click on the taskbar and select "Properties." 2. Check the checkbox for "Auto-hide the taskbar." 3. Click "Ok." Now the taskbar should disappear under normal conditions. To view the taskbar, just move your mouse to the bottom of the screen (where the taskbar would normally be). |

Re: Question about monitor
Awesome! I increased the resolution and it took care of the problem. Thanks for the advice Nate! You probably saved me some money since my first impulse was to head over to Best Buy.
Isaac, thanks for the tip! I did what you said with the taskbar and it worked just as well. I'm pretty computer illiterate (as Im sure you can tell) so I appreciate all the advice I can get! And thanks for the quick responses, guys! Your help is greatly appreciated! -Mike |
