I'm thinking of heading to Commerce this Saturday to play some low limit hold 'em (3-6). However, with the LA Poker Classic championship being held there, is it going to be a zoo? Are there even going to be low limit tables, or does the championship take up the floor?

There will be plenty of tables at all limits.
The tournaments are held in a seperate area. |

Yeah, I agree with the other poster, you'll be fine.
Have you been to Bellagio? Imagine the Bellagio floor area if it were cleared of all slots and games except a few house games, and the rest poker. The downstairs is all cash games, the ballroom/conference room is tourneys. If there is an overflow, there are two tents filled with tables, the stage is filled with tables and there are some random tables down in the Asian game area. If you wanna play some LL poker, I'm sure it will be available. Commerce is not the biggest cardroom in the world for nuttin' Felicia |

Try to make it there before 6 pm or so. It is a real zoo during the tournaments so the boards on the last few Sat. nights in LL games have gone 40+ names. Good luck.
