i don't know about this play really....

you're calling a pot sized bet with the hopes of spiking a 2 outter *if you're assuming you're behind*, and if you don't hit it you're gonna check/ fold?

i wonder what would have developed if you took it to 40 preflop and led for the pot on the flop....

ah well..

well, I think the point is you don't know you're behind until he fires on the turn. you can't beat a hand he value bets with, but you can beat a semibluff.

I like the line, mainly because a tight player limping in EP will have AA/KK, 99 or lower, sometimes AQ.
Against this hand range your line seem pretty ideal as long as he doesen't get out of line much.

I think he's calling a bet on the flop for information, which his turn action should give you.

Villian has no information about your hand so he is going to bet the turn with a lot of hands that you beat. You need to define your hand somewhere in this hand, either with a preflop raise, lead the flop, or check raise the flop. Playing TT as the way you've taken is definetely weak tight.

What do you do, as villian, with AK on the turn? How about AA? KK?

Do you see why flat calling is TONS better if that is his range of hands?

I didn't know AA/AK/KK were his only range of hands. Would he not bet the flop with something like 77, A9, JT? Why would he limp with AA/KK/AK anyhow? I still think its pretty weak to think you are behind with TT just because a tight player limped and then potted that flop.
Am I wrong?
