I think he played it like a set wanting to charge the others on the flop and not wanting you to get the free card. He could also have slow played an over pair. The pot is large enough to call the river bet.

i don't want to encourage 'overfolding' but i think there's very little chance you're winning this showdown once he bets the river. the only possible hand he can hold that doesn't beat you is going to be KTs or ATs. against a "looser" (e.g. 17% vpip) opponent who would be more prone to picking out value bets it's possible he took your lack of a turn raise to be "i don't have a set or a flush" and value betted top pair on the end. but it seems highly unlikely. i don't think he's overlimping with a hand better than tens here.

I think you played it fine, turn and river check/call.

I think you should call down on the river.
