Has anyone stayed there? How long of a drive is it to the strip? (or perhaps more importantly, how much is the cab fare?)
Thanks, RH |

Hmmmm... if you are staying at the Ritz does the cab fare matter?

Of course it matters. First of all, if it's a long drive/cab, I may change my mind about staying there. Second, if the cab fare is $50+, that's an extra $300 in pure travel expense, which I don't need.
Believe it or not, it's cheaper to stay at the Ritz than to stay at the better strip hotels, and I imagine that it's nicer and I won't have to walk through a mile of slot machines to get to my room. RH |

I guess I was just basing my comments on the Ritz Laguna here in SoCal. I think $400 gets you a closet with a bed in it. I just looked up the Ritz vegas it is out by the lake in Henderson. Looks like a long cab ride to me. I would think you would want to rent a car if you stay that far from the action.

I have stayed at the Ritz. It's a nice hotel, and Lake Las Vegas is very serene. The layout for the hotel is a bit labrynth like though (you'll see what I mean as you try to navigate to your room).
Unfortuantely, the cab ride from the Ritz to the strip won't be cheap. I wouldn't be surprised if it were $75 or more. If you're staying there, then I suggest you rent a car if you want to get to the strip. |
