I think these are both fairly routine.
Hand #1 is IMO one of the most profitable situations that exist in holdem. Hand #2 is a pretty routine raise unless the game is loose behind you and you are pretty certain of getting more than 1 limper behind you. In a tight game, this is exactly the kind of hand you want to be adding to your mix of open raising hands 3 from UTG. |

i agree with dynasty although im more prone to fold KTs out of position but i think limping is fine but in games i play in a lot of times 0% blind stealing equity so i would really probably not raise.

"Ace-rag is a fairly big hand heads-up when you have postion. Being suited only helps."
Sure I agree. However he cant be sure early limper doesnt have a better ace, although its unlikely, and there is no garentee that he is going to fold both blinds. Realistically, in most games, the pot would probably go down three handed. In the K10s hand, I still think bringing this hand in with a raise from early position is a mistake in all but the best games. I would muck the hand. |

I'm on crack. In the first hand, I thought the limper was UTG, and YOU were UTG+1... hence my problem with raising. After reading the post - correctly this time - I'd raise the A6s hand on the button for sure if the player who limped in was a bad or straightforward player.
I think my play for the second hand remains as I said before. |

Both the advice and the discussion have helped a lot.
