Re: Flop a set, turn a boat, anyone not cap this river?
[ QUOTE ]
It's not a stupid question. Just some people were skeptical because sometimes people post hands like this that everyone knows look like bad beat posts, and bad beat posts are frowned upon. If you were truly curious about your line then that's fine. This is a good place to learn. Nice hand [/ QUOTE ]Right on. If the rule when you have a boat is, "Don't worry about quads" then that's how I'll play. [ QUOTE ] Don't post UTG+1 [/ QUOTE ] Got it. |

Re: Flop a set, turn a boat, anyone not cap this river?
This post is keeping me calm. I just flopped a set of fours with a flop of Q74, turn is a 7 so filled up to fours full of sevens on the turn and a guy who flopped two pair with his Q7o ended up beating me. Eh...it hardly ever happens so I am glad I capped the turn and river.

Yes, this is like the maxim of "You either lose a lot or win a lot with a set". When you hit a full house, you can't be scared of a higher boat or quads. Ram and jam unless he shows you his cards--and then just ram.
Nice play. |

Unless it is a one card boat. You have to proceed cautiously if shown agression back. You normally split
last night 2 on a board of JK4KJ 2 people were betting up and becuase it was crypto there was no cap. They both had KJ and were simply lining the casinos pockets. They should have known that they had the nuts and with someone else betting like crazy too would also have a K |
