Thanks. I just ordered the book from them. One thing I didn't think was too great, though, was that they don't tell you how much the shipping charge is at the time of completing the order. And I just got a confirmation of my order, with the charges listed, and even this confirmation has the shipping charges listed as "TBD." That's kind of boge, really. They could add $10.00 for S&H (for one book) and you might not know it until it went on your credit card. So, we wait and see what happens.

Just found my statement. It cost $25 for the odds book, $16 for the Omaha book by Bob Ciaffone. The entire order came to $52, so it worked out at $11 shipping for two books to the UK.

Hi dirty mouse,

You may not need a whole book for this info. There is a comprehensive list of useful hold'em odds on my website at

http://www.pokerupdate.com/pokerodds.htm

Hope that helps,
Andrew

'Any pocket pair' includes AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, 99, 88, 77, 66, 55, 44, 33 and 22, which is thus 13 times more likely than being dealt AA.

Default Re: odds (Petriv\'s book)

Some of you were interested in the outcome of my order of Mike Petriv's Hold'em's odd(s)book from Gambler's Book Shop. The book was 24.95, considerably cheaper than the 39+ at Amazon (not available, apparently, from Conjelco). When I completed the order, the site informed me that a shipping cost would be added to my credit card charge, but did not specify the amount.

I got the book today. The invoice includes an amount of 6.50 for S&H. The postage on the Priority Mail envelope says 3.85. Overall, a better price than I've seen available anywhere else.

I can't say anything about the contents yet, as I haven't had an opportunity even to browse through it.
