Home game hand question
This was a home game i was involved in yesterday where we were down to 4 with the top 3 places paying.
Blind: 100/ 200 villan: about 6000 Hero: about 3000 Hero dealt: Q2o in the small blind villian is UTG and limps button limps Hero limps BB checks (Pot: 800 ) Flop: Qs 2h 9s hero bets 500 BB folds villan moves all in button folds Hero calls Turn: 3c River: Js villan shows 10s 4s for Q high flush Hero shows Q2o for two pair Villan knows me to play pretty tight and after the hand said he put me on top pair. He knows i know that he likes to push with flush draws. He still thinks he made a good play in this spot. Anyone else think this would be a good spot to push a flush draw into a player you put on top pair? |

Re: Home game hand question
Pretty much a textbook play here pushing with the flush draw. Not much of a consequence if he misses since he still has 3000 chips and just has to survive one person to cash. Could figure that he can also push you around since you are short stacked. Also would need to know how much the other two had to make a complete analysis here.
Check-raise on your part might be the better play or if checked around push on the turn, then he maybe more reluctant to call for only one card, or push immediately on the flop. |

Re: Home game hand question
I was second in chips so the other two probably had between a 1000 and 2000 each.
