99 SB
Get 99 in small blind four limp I complete and button checks.
Flop: K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I check and it gets checked to the button who bets. (He is a decent player-may limp in a bit too much. Also, I have gotten him off the best hand a couple times in the past. I have a solid image but have been caught bluffing today) I check raise the big blind calls and the button calls. Turn a rag. I bet both call. I put big blind on spade draw and button on either a straight draw or weak king. River: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Now what? Spades got there and I think the button will fold a king or ten if bet. Give up or bet? |

Re: 99 SB
After the BB calls the checkraise you are clearly beat. and if not on the turn, then definately the river. What else could either of them be calling with? you bet here, you get raised.

Re: 99 SB
check. you can consider calling one bet, but your probably beaten. if there is a bet and a call or a bet and a raise your definatly beaten. the bettor may be bluffing but the caller isn't. I am assuming these players are not habitual bluffers or calling stations.

Re: 99 SB
I figure the button will fold anything from K-9 or worse and raise me with two pair. Also, I doubt he would chase two pair past the turn so I put him on JQ. There is a small chance he is calling me down with KJ or KQ.

Re: 99 SB
I bet the river, the big blind called and the button folded. The big blind showed a flush.

Raise preflop?
Why not raise preflop?
I always do but I have started to question that lately with that many players in the hand. What do you all think about it and why? |

Re: Raise preflop?
I wouldnt bet. Your reason to bet is to bluff them out (which seems unlikely). What hands would they possibly fold that are better than a pair of nines? Why would he chase the twopair with aweak king and fold on the river. This is definitely a check and hope for the other people to check

Re: 99 SB
with 2 overs and a straight and flush draw out there, I check fold to any bet on the flop.
