Re: when they push back on the turn
[ QUOTE ]
I simply call the turn raise, and check-call the river. This turn raise scares me. I've raised preflop, bet the flop, and bet the turn. Usually CO raising on the turn says "I've got your AA, KK, or AQ beat." [/ QUOTE ] Not here. It's a smallish pot, heads up as of when it comes to CO on the flop, and he's a known aggressive player. Also, a Q is a likely holding in a late limping hand. |

where's the famous quote? "sets just don't happen that much in hold'em"

where's the famous quote? "sets just don't happen that much in hold'em" [/ QUOTE ] Yeah. He will play sets this way but players like this also love to slowplay top pair on this board, and there are a lot more ways he can have top pair than a set. There are also no plausible two-pair combos on the board. |

Re: when they push back on the turn
[ QUOTE ]
That said I still like to just call down. With a non-scary board I will find it difficult to fold even to a turn cap because I could only be down to two pair. So if I am behind, 3betting is spewing. And if its a bluff the 3bet stops them giving you another bet on the river. The only time I 3bet the turn is with a read. [/ QUOTE ] I think you should make up your mind. [/ QUOTE ] You cut the end off the quote. I think that changes what I was saying. I was saying I would only 3bet it to slap somebody in place. |
