Getting sucked out on feels like getting sucker punched in the nose

This post has zero content, I just need to vent.

Well I made the money for the first time ever in a MTT (I've tried around six times). It was a 5 + .50 on PokerRoom. Not to much interesting happened on my way to the money, but after the money...OUCH.

Once I made the money I had a little over 8k and blinds were 400/800. Wasn't in a huge hurry to double up, but if the opportunity presented itself...

First hand after making the money I'm dealt QQ, there is already 1200 in the pot, plus the big blind only has 1400 left so I push, get called by the BB who has K6o, you guessed it. I guess he didn't have a choice and that's what I wanted to happen but it didn't work out quite the way I planned.

Very next hand down to 6+k...dealt KK...hmm...I think about it, wow what an opportunity, I bet I can get a caller if I push...how about two. Pot is like 21k...wow…they start checking it down. Now if only that 4th diamond doesn't come on the river... QhJd rivers the junky flush...Ouch, it's amazing how that felt exactly like when...


the rest of this post has even less to do with poker then the beginning of this post.

I play basketball during lunch and to make a long story short, me and this other guy don't get a long. It was late in the week so tempers are already short by this time. "Other Dude" was guarding me pretty close and as I stepped in to back him off, he caught my elbow in the eye. Next thing I know he punches me in the nose. Now I'm not a fighter, so I just give him an ear full the rest of the day about how I can't believe he punched me, because to be honest...I still can't get over the fact he punched me.

I didn't do anything back to him, I didn't feel it was necessary, he wasn't going to do anything else, and I would only fight in self defense, the only thing that was in danger was my pride, and I thought, screw it.

The amazing thing is my first time in the money and getting punched in the nose feels exactly the same.
