Hmmm. . . so there is no one style of music that will cause your brain to kick some poker ass, like classical does for math. Maybe one of you should make a new style of music that stimulates the part of the brain that we use for poker. I'm gona have to agree with the person who said CCR. After all, I was born a gamblin' man . . .

Stone Temple Pilots, Green Day, the band with the dude from Soundgarden. Anything I like is good poker music though.

I prefer talk radio. I download Howard Stern or old love line shows. hours of play time listening. If music, nothing too heavy. I can't stand it after a bad beat.

Wow. I was just going to say CCR.

When I first started playing online-poker it pretty much coincided with my roommate happening to get a couple of CCR albums...so I always associate it with poker now.

I went on a losing streak at one point...and I also happened to not be listening to as much CCR either.
I wrote out a list of things I needed to work on which went something like:

1. patience
2. discipline
3. aggression at appropriate times (don't wuss-out)
4. more CCR
