Hmmm. . . so there is no one style of music that will cause your brain to kick some poker ass, like classical does for math. Maybe one of you should make a new style of music that stimulates the part of the brain that we use for poker. I'm gona have to agree with the person who said CCR. After all, I was born a gamblin' man . . .

I prefer talk radio. I download Howard Stern or old love line shows. hours of play time listening. If music, nothing too heavy. I can't stand it after a bad beat.

Wow. I was just going to say CCR.
When I first started playing online-poker it pretty much coincided with my roommate happening to get a couple of CCR albums...so I always associate it with poker now. I went on a losing streak at one point...and I also happened to not be listening to as much CCR either. I wrote out a list of things I needed to work on which went something like: 1. patience 2. discipline 3. aggression at appropriate times (don't wuss-out) 4. more CCR |
