I do not want to post the results or what action i took on the river yet. I think this hand is one of the more interesting that i have played.

I will say that I would not have raised this river...if he reraises me i am definately behind and definately have to call considering 75% of my stack is in there. I thought my two options were either fold or call.

if i had a deeper stack this is an easy call for me. the stack size always comes into play when i make a decision

You talked about outplaying him if the flush card didnt hit. Were you going to raise the turn even if a 9 didnt come, providing it wasnt a club?

By the way, do you mind saying who the known professional is?

You're kind of new at this, and I don't want to be rude, but the interest shown in this hand is fairly uncommon for the fairly typical play of the hand.
Also, don't get mad at iceman for his criticism of your call. his point is that the bb bet either on a k or a flush draw. you argued that you called the flop looking for a set believing your nines were good and your opponent was on the flush draw. then, when the flush hits, you think that your nines are still good because he must have a K. it's one or the other, but it can't be both. your arguments change and appear to be biased on the cards on the board and the outcome of the hand, whatever that may be.
Finally, don't withhold results too long. millions of hands are played daily and a single play isn't worthy of too much discussion. Most of these people want to know who the pro is because that's the most interesting aspect of the hand.
Sorry if I sound bitchy I don't mean to be. just trying to help.

I fail to understand why this would make any difference given the situation. You would call based on what you have, what you think your opponent has, and what the pot odds are. Unless this is a max buy in game, I fail to see where this could make any difference at all. Can you please explain?

ok - didn't look at stack sizes. I really still see this bet as a river blocking bet and I'd call it expecting to take down the pot 50/50. Even if he has the flush, you can take solace that you still didn't give him implied odds to hit. We weren't at the table though and you had your read, so your fold was probably fine, although I still like a call vs. a tricky opponent you knows you put him on a draw.
