Default AK, should I have slowed down?

CO was a total maniac who lost most of his stack at a 5/10 6max table I was playing. After he left I went looking for him 20 minutes later. Found him at a 10/20 table. I never played 10/20, but thought "if the pickings are good and I got the money, why not?" But even maniacs could get a killer hand. My only read on UTG+1 was that he was playing a lot of hands, some marginal. Given my reads, should I have slowed down?

If he's a total maniac I can see no reason to slow down. The alternative would be to just call the turn raise, but since I guess this maniac would raise the turn with a wide range of hands I don't see that as necessary.

No way I slow down here. If the river had been a brick I might bet/call a raise but flop & turn I'm ramming.
