Default Sustainable win rates for micro limits...

I've read Mason's various gambling books (Gambling Theory, and Poker Essays 1-3). I can't remember which one, but he believes a very good player in a B&M game could win about 2 BB per hour.

My stats over 4500 hands have me at +6.6 BB per 100 (3.86/hr).

While I know this isn't statistically significant yet, it does give me confidence I'm a winning player. I'm curious to know what experienced players here consider realistic winrates for these micro limit games.

Is it even possible to increase my winrate to 5 or $6 per hour?

I don't feel that I have enough experience to comment on the realistic winrates for micro limits.

As for your second question - bb/100 is a better measure of results than $/hr online. Hourly winrate is all about volume.

Assume your true winrate is 2.5bb/100.

Playing one table, you should get about 60 hands per hour. Therefore, your expected hourly rate at a single table is 1.5bb/hr. So to make more $/hr, you just play more tables.

You won't play as well on multiple tables as you would on one, but all the extra hands being dealt to you will more than makes up for degraded play.

This is funny my man...not laughing at you but with you. When I first started, my first 15,000, I was at like 20BB/100. I thought....dude, why am I working. I was catching everything, but didn't know it was unusual to do so. Believe me, it won't stay that way. I'm at like 1.3BB/100. Sustaining 2BB/100 is very exceptional. Your BB/100 will change..trust all of us on that one. However, keep playing smart and you'll continue to be a winning poker player.

illunious has pumped out over 150k hands at well over 5BB/100. It's very possible in the .50/1 game with mad skills.
