Default LV people--help me with my WSOP hotel questions

Hi folks,

I'm coming to Vegas for 2-4 weeks in Jun/Jul, for the Series, of course. I can't afford the Rio (and for all I know, they're booked solid already); what hotels that are not dives are near it? Any general recommendations? I've heard about people renting apartments for a month, instead of a hotel room. Anyone done that, or know who to ask about it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Cero

OK, I'm using Travelaxe, and I'm getting: Gold Coast, Palms, Barbary Coast, Ceasars..does this sound right, geographically? The Coast properties' rates are in line with what I was thinking, but are the rooms going to be filthy or OK?

Your best bet is to ask the B&M forum.

Palms and Gold Coast are right near it. Palms is expensive though. Gold Coast isn't the greatest but it's clean and inexpensive. The Rio is only a 5 minute drive from the strip though so you can pick any hotels on the strip. Barbary Coast is good value. Hope this helps.
