I don't play this high and am trying a few more tricky moves so I just have this general question for you and others: when you make plays like this obviously it works some of the time but not all of the time, and those times that the play works often stick in one's head longer for psychological reasons. The question I have is how do you accurately gauge whether and how often to make these moves, and the ultimate success of the plays?

I guess two possible answers are (i) opponent dependent and (ii) game theory dependent but I wonder if anyone has any more guidance.

Regards

Why do you keep posting these hands with no content?

standard 3 handed stuff. i like the turn stop n go it perfectly represents what you want it to represent. also you opponent apparently had no hand whatsoever either. or did he? could he dump 44 here? or more importantly would he throw away KJ??

i hope you keep posting im sure everyone here can learn a lot from your experience playing the bigger games online.

shawn-

i really enjoy reading your posts, and i find it great to get someone playing such high limits such as 400/800 to be posting here.

but would you be able to post more hands which can be more open to discussion then the ones you are currently posting?

clarkmeister and mikel. (along with a few others) are good examples of being willing to posts hands and debate plays on all streets. you're hands are good, and intereseting reads, but dont really open debate (which is where players like myself get to see more insight)

thanks, and keep the posts coming

I admit I am out of my league here, I usually just lurk this forum (I play small stakes). But can somebody talk me through this hand as one would a kindergartner, I can guess most of it. But I am trying to understand some of these advanced concepts for the day that I eventually play higher stakes.

I guess one of my first questions would be, what if the turn is raised? I assume this would be a fold?
