Default Reccomendations on good chips and KEM cards

I've been looking on ebay for a few days and I'm trying to decide which type of chips and cards to buy but it's hard to tell by looking at from the pc. I'm not looking to spend around a $100 on chips and whatever on the cards. Anybody have some suggestions?

Well...

How much are you looking to spend?

Two decks of the few remaining KEM stocks will run you about ~$20 w/ shipping from sellers on eBay. If you buy Copags instead, they will run you ~$16 for two decks. Both of those brands make quality plastic cards.

As for the chips, I think you might be better off signing up for some bonus deal or something like that where they give you a free set of 500 chips for playing some hands online.

*Free* is a good price for the type of chips you are looking for.

LOL! I meant to say I WAS looking to spend around a $100 or maybe a little more for some good chips. Sorry about that.

Well, I still recommend trying to find an online site that has a special deal for some decent chips with a case.

You could buy these same chips for about $70-$100, but getting them as part of a bonus is pretty nice.
I have over 2000 chips which I have received through this manner.

Thanks AC. Any suggestions on a site that offer chips that have the amount labeled on them? I've noticed quite a few that don't. I get tired of having to tell everyone how much each color is worth over and over.

So here is how I'd rate them:

Looks:
1A) Gemaco.
1B) Kems.
3) Copags.

Feel:
1) Gemaco.
2) Copags.
3) Kems.

Value:
1) Copags (by far).
2) Gemaco
3) Kems.

Overall:
1) Copags (price makes them the leader)
2) Gemaco
3) Kems.

This survey was done by GlassJoe (from another forum) and passed it on to us, and now passed on to you.

My prediction.(Patriots-27-7)

I take issue with all but one of your ratings.

For feel, KEM is certainly not third. Who told you that?

KEM cards still look the best to me. I'm a big fan of their coloring.

Copag is the best value. I won't defend KEM in this category.

Overall: KEM

Thank you.

I am biased, and blindly support anyone who favors KEM cards. I got your back, Cola.

gemaco 5-star decks may "look" good but IMO there's no way they can be ranked #1 in feel and certainly not #2 in value over KEM (and you completely left out A-Plus?!). I would also have a Manufacturing Quality ranking and say that Gemaco plastic cards are often have off-center back printings and surface pock marks that most serious cardrooms wouldn't tolerate in the long run (though many have no choice until KEM is fully back up again).

I don't dislike Gemaco, but any poll which ranks KEM behind them and ignores A-Plus is undoubtedly suspect.

2+2 is the only forum that really counts, by the way.
