That's precisely the flop I'm looking for with a big pair, short of flopping a set. If he has a set, he's getting paid.

Since he only minraised I'd call and see what he does on the turn. A set is possible but so are a lot of other hands, you can't just assume all minraises mean monsters. If he pushes or bets big on the turn then a fold is probably safe.

Sometimes the min raise is meant to milk you with a set, sometimes the min-raise is meant to get rid of AK or something. Just call and then bet 1/2 pot on turn. If he raises again you can think about folding.

TWP, if he calls he'll only have about $13.5 left with a pot of about $23-$24 on the turn. Are you saying to bet $12 and then think about folding if he raises?

I respect your posts and just wanted to clarify your opinion here.

LOL. He didn't post stack sizes initially and I didn't see that he had commented lower down. No, obviously don't do that. With short stacks, just pay off a set. If you are afraid about a set here, you won't be able to prevent people from drawing out on you since any bet PCs you.

(Next time, I'll read the thread! Thanks!)
