Hey there.
Firstly, does pokerstars have .5/1? If so, move up to there before going to 1/2. Secondly, you should stay where you are until: 1) You're beating the game. 2) You've got the bankroll to take the next step. The roll required is around 300BB, sometimes as much as 400. That roll needs to be 300BB at the next level that you're playing at, not at your current level. In addition, you don't need to get that roll by playing poker: if you're beating the game, you want to move up, and you don't have 300BB, take it out of your pocket: it's a good investment. Also, remember that as you move up through the limits, the game will change. Therefore you may choose to move up slowly: only play one table at the new limit at first, play a large number of hands before you move over permanently, etc. Hope it helps. --Dave. |

If you can beat Stars .25/.5 you can just as easily beat PP .5/1. I went back to Stars a while back for like 10K hands just to fix some big leaks. My winrate was about 3.5BB/100 but after returning to party it has been 6BB/100 over 15K hands. You'll learn much more by moving up after a reasonable amount of time, and avoid picking up bad habbits that will hurt you when you do move up.
