Default Full Ring vs. 6max

So I've gone back to full ring games and I have been doing extremely well. Prior to the move I had been playing almost exclusively shorthanded for about a year. Now I have gone back to full-ring and have been crushing the game. Now Im sure i am running good at the moment, but I believe the skills I have picked up playing shorthanded have made me a much better full ring player. Anyone else had a similar experience?

Looking at it now I see many advantages over playing Full ring to 6-max. Basically I'm asking for opinions/facts on the advantages and disadvantages of each game.

PS. Will cross-post in shorthanded forum.

Shorthanded is fun. I think game selection and more importantly seat selection is even more important shorthanded though. And yes, I agree it helps in full games.

Yeah thats why I originally went to 6max because its much faster paced and action packed.

Like you I have also gone back to full games after playing only shorthanded for the last little while. Not sure if it has helped my game or not, since I only have about 2 sessions with which to judge my progress.

Yeah its only been a week and a half so far for me. So far im winning 10-15 BB's an hour so I know I'm running good. But I also think I am playing far better than I used to when I played full ring games. So here's a question, what is a good win rate at full tables? is 3, 4, or even 5 bb /100 possible?

Went back to full games at the start of this week (went down from 5/10(6 max) to 3/6(full)).

I must admit I found the first day very tough. Kept getting called! Was thinking too much about plays to make when I didnt have a hand and being really too aggressive. Have now settled down and play only premium hands aggressivley - ABC poker really. Am up 11bb/100 and although I am running good, my brain is enjoying the rest its getting by simply 4 tabling on auto pilot.

(To those on this forum that gave me the advice to do just that - thanks )

3BB/100 seems to be the max in the long run, and that would also indicate that you are very very good.
