Default Dell 2001 on a laptop?

Somebody just asked this question in another thread but I didn't want to continue the hijack. Just wanted to know if anyone is running the Dell 2001 on a laptop and if so are there any concerns. I currently have a fairly new HP laptop with a 15.4" screen. 4-tabling on this is a bitch but I do it anyway. Any ideas?

I'm running a 2001FP on my laptop. It doesn't use any of the fancy connection things (DVI, SVID, whatever), but I was able to just plug the standard monitor cord into my laptop (even while it was running) and it picked it right up. The only configuration I had to do was increasing the resolution to 1600x1200 and clicking the "expand desktop" option.

No problems here.

I have a 2001 and an 3 year old HP laptop, mine can't do the 1600x1200. I guess I will have to build a new comp.
