Re: I WILL NOT LAY DOWN AK!!
I sort of agree with you; its very unlikely that someone raises a river bet with a worse hand. On the other hand, this guy capped the flop with top pair no kicker, and betting out assumes that this player is capable of doing this with a questionable hand. So my question is whether we could really safely fold to a raise of a river bet.

Re: I WILL NOT LAY DOWN AK!!
Looks standard to me. IF you raise the turn, do you fold to a 3-bet?

Re: I WILL NOT LAY DOWN AK!!
Could not another AK play this way (other than pre-flop)?

[ QUOTE ] I'm not certain calling down is best, [/ QUOTE ] I agree, but where do you find a different play? A fold? That's what really irks me about this hand. [/ QUOTE ] I don't see a fold anywhere in there... |

With the board the way it is by the river, I don't think Hero will be winning or chopping very often against an unknown, on Party 2/4. But he might be doing those things often enough. Anyway, I don't think I would have folded at any point. Probably I would have played the hand like Hero did. |

Re: I WILL NOT LAY DOWN AK!!
I don't think I could very easily against an unknown which is why I chose to call it down. Would calling a 3-bet and c/calling the river be too fishy as a standard play against an unknown?

Re: I WILL NOT LAY DOWN AK!!
it would be reckless chip spewing.... so if that qualifies as "fishy" then i suppose so
