Dealers hilarious, yet inapproriate joke
Saturday night at Mandalay Bay.
Four of us guys in Vegas to play poker, 3 have experience and one newbie. We all tell the newbie to just play tight and he will at least have a PF advantage over the masses that play almost any 2 cards. The newbie took this advice to an extreme and gave all new meaning to weak-tight.
Anyway, he'd been at this table an hour or so folding, folding, folding, and folding some more when he gets JJ in early position. He open-raises and the dealer does a double take and says "Holy cow, even people at the next table over are folding" (to his bet).
I thought this was pretty damn funny, but my newbie friend was pissed, and rightfully so. The dealer shouldn't be helping other players make their reads, especially when so many don't pay attention on their own.
