Type of chips to buy?

Weight is a factor. Casino chips are around 10g so shoot for that. Metal inserts (read all 11.5g chips) are considered kinda lame around here but might make you a hero somewhere else. Make sure to get some samples.

If this is your first buy I would get CHEAP ones until you figure out exactly what colors, denominations and amounts you really need for the kind of poker you play.

If you can swing it go to a couple casinos and get a bunch of different colored $1 chips. You can always return them for face value. Think of it as renting chips for free. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
