I have a friend who already has a Stars account but can't fund it so he's thinking about giving me cash and I'll transfer money to his account. Whenever he needs to cash out he'll transfer back to me and I'll pay him cash.
Is this going to raise any flags with Poker Stars? |

It'll probably be fine, but why? He won't be able to get any bonuses.

I'm pretty sure they don't care at all. I sent you a PM on the subject also.

I asked them that question and their answer was that if the player who was transfered money plays with it to some extent, no problems whatsoever.
They just don't want people getting transfered money and then immediately cashing out. That's the red flag. |

It is wise for your friend with the inactive pokerstars account to play... even if it was just a bit. After all, poker sites are not banks and are happy to receive even a tiniest rake for their service of keeping the money.

Wouldn't they be happy to be keeping the money? I'm sure they invest the money somewhere or collect interest on it.

That's true, but i suppose that the rake earned by a poker site is an immediate operating revenue and could possibly could earn more in rake anyway.

........transfer between Neteller accounts. Doing this would allow your friend to collect bonuses.

He plays mostly tourneys and Neteller charges quite a bit for intra-account transfers IIRC.

There is no problem UNLESS you deposit and he immediately cashes out, or cashes out without playing. The reason I know this is because back in the day when we(friends and I) first began playing poker I thought we could save money on neteller transfer fees if we did it through pokerstars. My account was suspended, and it was fairly easy to unlock it once we spoke to them over the phone, but I wouldn't recommend doing it that way. If you are going to make a transfer make sure the person getting the money sent to him plays a fair bit first before he cashes out.
