Agreed, you played fine on all the streets. On the river you probably call, there's still just the one overcard. It's possible the the flop raiser has a queen, but there are plenty of other hands he could have raised with too.

And raising from the BB is definitely right; JJ is too good to let everyone limp into the pot for one bet, even if there are a lot of them and you don't expect to thin the field.

Definately raise preflop.

I don't like how you played the flop/turn however. Betting out is correct as there is no reason to believe anybody has a Q. It gets trickier though once you are raised and MP2 smooth calls two bets. What was your thought process here? If you figured that you were behind to a Q then you should obviously fold as you have very few outs. If you think that they are just playing a draw then you should bet out on the turn so as to not give your opponents a free card to beat you.

I'd advocate taking a stance at least somewhere in this hand to figure out where we're at. What are we, a calling board?

PREFLOP: fine

FLOP: Hmmm... is MP1 raising a flush draw, or a pair of queens. You don't know, so you can't give up yet. I suggest this line:

Simply call his raise, then lead out on the turn and see how he reacts. If he raises you on the turn, FOLD. If he just calls (implying more of a flush draw). Lead out on the river.

I'd argue against 3-betting the flop because he'll just cap it with either a flush draw or a paired queen. Then you really haven't gained any inforamtion.

TURN: I think you have to lead this turn (fold to a raise, but don't let him take a free card if he's on the flush draw).

RIVER: I like not betting the river because if villain just has a broken flush draw, he'll fold to your bet. But checking may induce him to bluff.

Just my thoughts...

Adam

What is all this probably crap about the river. If you called the turn and the river does not bring an A or K, how do you NOT call?

Altnernatively you can just fold the flop.

That is horribly, horribly weak-tight. I like the bet/call, then lead the turn if a blank falls line.

It's a pretty big blank - J9 or pocket tens or some bogus 5T or 8T are the only hands it improves against the jacks.
