How to play flops holding only one overcard?
I seem to flop a lot of hands where I am holding only a single overcard on the flop, for example AJ and a flop of Q85 (no flush draw or a backdoor).
Is it ever correct to play in this situtation if there is any action? I always fold unless I have two overcards to the flop if I did not make anything or have a decent draw. With two overcards I call if getting 6.5 to 1 and my cards would not make someone a better hand. So should someone play one overcard if getting 13 to 1 odds? |

I think your question is really to general to give a pat answer to always do one thing or another.
