what exactly is sports science?
Just curious, I'm major undecided at the time being (senior in HS) and my dream job would be working business/journalism at ESPN or something.

To be honest, i dont really know. There is a few different fields within the SC major here you can try for. You could become a PE teacher, a physical therapist, or even a football coach. I dont really know what im going for but i love sports so this is what im doing. Hope that helps. There is also a PGM (Professional Golf Management) Major which is pretty cool if youre into golf and would enjoy being a course pro.

You probably want to study sports journalism. I take sports management, and that's another major that's sports focused. You could take writing classes along with that major. Your best bet would be to look into a school with sports journalism though.

I read your post again and you said business/journalism. If aren't sure if you want to be in sports business or sports journalism I would definitely major in sports management then. If you majored in sports journalism and decided you wanted to go into sports business, it would be much harder than if you were a sports management major and took a few journalism classes as electives. Your options are a lot greater as a sports management major. It's definitely a fun field to be in. I worked with the 76ers this summer, and it was a lot of fun. If you need any advice on what to look into and if you need to talk to anyone about it let me know and I'll put you in touch with some people.

Mostly a lurker, this forum has really helped my game, thought I'd add on...
30 Engaged, planning a wedding and dreading every minute of it. Work for an internet company Movies - too many to name - Platton, Goodfellas, Godfather, Old School, Swingers.... Best poker acomplishment - nothing too impressive, but here's the list: - finished 32nd in my first multi online (Party Poker Million - over 1,300 started) - 3rd in a $30 multi (600+ started) - built a bankroll of over $5K from an initial $100 (mostly in SNGs)

How old are you? 45
Are you married? Girlfriend/Boyfriend? Children? Married , no kids Occupation besides poker? Write computer games (yes, I really do) If studying, what and where? Only studying poker Favorite movie? Changes weekly... LOTR, Matrix, too many to list Best poker acomplishment? Still in the kiddee pool. Played one big NL B&M tourney at Mirage, no cash but lasted to 27th place. Many 10+1 PP SnG wins. 4th in my first 2+2 tourney.
