Poker has its seasons, just like in nature. You have spring, summer, fall and winter. Sometimes the seasons last a bit longer than we'd like, but there's not much we can do about it. They've coined phrases for such things (ie. cabin fever).

There's not much use getting frustrated, cranky, or outright mad at these natural occurances. It just doesn't do any good. You just have to adjust to these seasons when they occur. If it's cold and dark out, well, just put on the warm boots, coat and gloves and grind through the rest of the winter with the knowledge that spring is on the way. That is the way of nature, and it is the way of the cards, luck, poker and life itself.

I struggle, just like you and many others, with these "long winters". But make no doubt, the sun will come out, the grass will grow and the harvest will come in.

Just be.
