Re: should i stop betting a boat?
By the turn cap, its safe to assume that the villain is either a fool, or has a bigger boat. Check-call the river, and hope he is a fool. No need to spew additional chips on the river.

Re: should i stop betting a boat?
I think it depends. What was YOUR table image? Did others think you were tight? Plus, the other player may just be terrible. I think it's pretty good to assume that many people playing are just crazy. There are plenty of fish who migh have a queen and think, hey, I've got three of a kind, that's real good! And think they must have the best hand. If you thought the guy was a pretty good player, then maybe give him credit for a bigger boat. I've seen morons going crazy with over pairs here.

Re: should i stop betting a boat?
Well seems like most people think I shouldn't have 3-bet the river... and your right, I was shown TT. I still can't believe my opponent didn't cap the river, with only quads beating him.
I guess this is just a hand where you have to slow down if you read the opponent as somewhat skilled. |

Re: should i stop betting a boat?
He could have had two pair with the queen filling up. On Party, someone will call down with Q4. So, while capping is definately the best play, he can fear a higher boat as well as quads.

Re: should i stop betting a boat?
Call his river raise. He either has QT or TT 90% of the time here you will be wasting 1 or 2 BB if you reraise.
