Re: Super Bowl bet amount!!!!!
As of this afternoon, $1500 on Eagles +7 and $500 on the Eagles moneyline. (+230 and +220)
Still a week to go, anticipate more loading up next week. Also, someone already made this post here, so you may want to look there if no one else happens to respond in this thread. |

Re: Super Bowl bet amount!!!!!
I'm not betting anything because:
a) I suck at betting football, refer to exhibit 3+1 for evidence. b)...well do I really need anything else? I've studied my EV, for me both sides are in the negatives. For all you faders out there, I think the line is pretty much spot on, the Patriots haven't been know to blow people out of the water until this years playoffs, so I'd hesitate to bet anything higher then a -6.5. Which means Eagles win or Patriots blowout. But now that I've said that, the gambling gods know that I'm aware, so they'll switch it up on me, just for that super special "Damn damn damn I should have bet damnit!" feeling. [ QUOTE ] I got a grand on under 48 baby!!! money in the bank. [/ QUOTE ] Didn't someone say that historically the Super Bowl hits the over more often? From my own memory, most of them are either blowouts (one team scores 40 or so), or close games with both teams in the 20's to low 30's... |

Re: Super Bowl bet amount!!!!!
Put $2000 on the PATS -6.5 and just recently $750 on the under.

[/ QUOTE ] This wouldn't surprise me because after playing brutal weather games, very good teams then go to a perfect or nearly perfect weather environment with an extra week of rest. I'd say this benefits offenses more than defenses. I know you guys like the under because of how strong both defenses are, but don't forget that both offenses were in the top 10 this year! I don't think the under is as safe a bet as a lot of you are making it out to be. Both teams put up lots of points in the championship games on good defenses (Pitt much stronger than Atl) in bad weather. |
