A few years ago the 30 games at Bellagio were mostly very tough. You might find yourself in a game with Mason, Barry Tannebaum, Roy Cooke, Jim Brier and a few other very good local pros. Even Sklansky could be found at the 30-60 level. You hardly see a game like that today. My point was that the aggressive play you see today at the 30 level is indicative of what has happened to poker in the past few years. It is becoming more and more a gambling game. This style of play could always be found in the card rooms of California. Las Vegas was always considered (by some) to have tough Holdem games. Tough in that the local pros were very good and did not appear to be on constant tilt like many Californai "pros". One of the opponents in this hand, the UTG player, is a local that has played reguraly here for years and has enjoyed some measure of success. I found that interesting.
