Default Last one tonight I promise -- bad call on the flop here?

Is this another bad flop call from yours truly?

There is *no* money in the pot and I'm drawing to a gut shot. Is it fold or raise or just fold?

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 5 folds, Hero calls, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (4 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+1 bets, Hero calls, SB folds, BB folds.

I'd probably fold the flop myself drawing to only a king and with that teensy pot.

This is an easy call, K or 9 completes the straight.

Hoi, after reading some of your other posts, I highly recommend reading SSHE before posting again.

I would fold preflop. I would call the turn.

I'm not trying to be harsh but you need to do some more reading and move down in limits before you play anymore poker. This preflop call sucks, but not realizing you have a double gutter and folding the turn is horrible.

Ouch.

I've actually read it twice and intend to continue to study it.

I'm posting hands I that I question my play on. Are you suggesting I should stop doing that? Your question suggests that I don't yet know enough to benefit from the advice I'm getting. Is that your intent?

Not that I want to highjack my own thread to discuss what lame ass player I am.

i think he means that your question on this hand is answered in the book. i think this is clearly a fold preflop by the books standards, therefore it is a clear fold by his standards.

Is it? The "tight game" opening hands suggest limping with any two cards T or higher from late position. I don't dispute it is marginal--a better call with more limpers. But on the face of it I don't see how the standards of SSHE are violated here. What am I missing?
