NL 100 6max tricky spot
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter
Button ($104.5) SB ($115.15) BB ($69) UTG ($281.8) Hero ($119.9) CO ($106.7) Preflop: Hero is MP with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $1. UTG folds, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $8</font>, CO folds, Button folds, SB (poster) folds, BB calls $6. Flop: ($17) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $15</font>, BB calls $15. Turn: ($47) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $30</font>, BB calls $46 (All-In), Hero calls $16. River: ($139) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font> Final Pot: $139 After I got called on my flop bet I figured it was likely my opponet had a T or an overpair. How should I have played this? After the flop bet he really doesen't have a big enough stack size to worry me. But I don't like getting money in when I'm behind. What would you do in this spot? How would you play it? silly |

Re: NL 100 6max tricky spot
Maybe make a smaller turn bet that you can *maybe* get away from if he pushes? You played it ok I think.

Re: NL 100 6max tricky spot
I think any bet I could make on the turn will pot commit him and he will just raise me all in. Mabye I could check the turn. It may induce a bluff from the overpairs KK,QQ,JJ,99. Could I check the turn and call a reasonably sized bet on the river and mabye depending on the player fold to a push? Anoboy have any thoughts on this?

Re: NL 100 6max tricky spot
Your opponent doesn't have a big enough stack to let you get away from this if you're beaten. But you shouldn't be rushing to get the money in. I'd rather see if I can induce a bluff somewhere than to let him throw away something that's drawing dead.
