Default JJ Pre-flop - Stars $1/2

Do you call the re-raise pre-flop? I think folding is the only play after the flop.

JJ and QQ suck. Generally don't put a lot of money into them. KK and AA are the only hands worth a damn. I got my ass handed to me today when I had QQ . The correct play right there is to fold to the reraise but knowing me and my mind state at times I probably would have called the reraise, too.

Yeah, with those stacks, I probably call the raise as well. And I definitely let it go on that flop. I'm not sure if the PF call is +EV or not, but it might depend on your post-flop skills relative to the other two, meaning if you think you can take it away from both of them at some point.

In this situation, I think JJ is the same as any mid to low PP. If you play it, you are looking to make a set on the flop, otherwise fold to any bet.

Where this hand would really get tricky is if you catch a J on a flop that includes an A, K, or Q. You probably can't let go of your set, but there is a decent chance that there may be another set out there.

I concur. I often end up playing JJ and sometimes even QQ with this exact mindset.
