Definitely should have just gone ahead and raised the flop. My intention at the time was to pull the "wait for a blank on the turn".

I'm unsure what to do after being 3-bet on the turn. Folding seems weak with trip aces, but my kicker is crap and I can't imagine anything worth 3-betting that I beat.

Folding is weak. Besides the fact that you might end up chopping the pot, your lack of flop raise may have made MP1 believe that you're bluffing the scare card. Call it down and hope for the best.
