OK, so I didn't do as badly as I thought with my first hand. How about this one? No reads. Party 1/2 limit. Bisonbison rules.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

I think that is a pretty standard play. Could you have capped the flop? Maybe, but what you did wasn't bad. Without further reads based on his play I would be suspect that MP1 may have had pocket 10s and he slowed it down afraid you may have had the pocket 7s.

If that did happen it's bad luck. Set over Set happens so in-frequently, especially with the board not being double paired, that you have to believe that your hand is good and basically go for it.

I bet out on the flop, you have a raggy two pair on a pretty un-coordinated board, I want to pick up as many bets as I can in case it gets checked through. You don't mind a raise either as no-one is likely to put you on T7.

Clearly it plays itself from the turn [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

The odds of someone having pocket 10's on this hand is VERY small. He probably had 10,Ks or 10,As... other than that I agree with your analysis.
