Default Dell Inspiron 8600

Wanting to take advantage of the $500 coupon (thanks cprhou). Through search I've found the need for the following (in order to 4 table with no overlap)...
IntelŪ PentiumŪ M Processor 725(1.60A GHz/400MHz FSB) 15.4 WUXGA
512MB DDR SDRAM 1 Dimm
60GB Hard Drive

Not clear on a couple other issues.

Is the 128MB video card necessary, or will the 64MB suffice?
Also, I'm not sure what to do with the Wireless networking options. What is Bluetooth? I want to be able to set up a router at home, and connect at internet cafes, airports/hotels with WIFI. At the bottom of the page when I'm configuring the system it says "The following options are default selections included with your order...
Integrated 10/100 Network Card and Modem" Is this related to Wireless Networking or not?

Thanks.

Few things,

If you don't plan on gaming, 64MB will be just fine for video.
WUXGA is what you need for 1600x1200 for 4-tabling w/ no overlap
Bluetooth is a personal wireless networking standard, not used for internet and such. It's basically just a short range wireless used to do stuff like connect cell phones to computers to pdas. If you don't know what it is, you don't need it.
For wireless in internet cafe's, you need a wireless 802.11 card. Get one that supports 802.11 b/g because that will allow you to run at the faster network speed.
The integrated 10/100 network card and modem is just for wired ethernet networking or for dialup internet.

Hope this helps. Hurry up and order before the coupon is used up.

I second all his advice.

I point out that WUXGA is 1920x1200 - a little wider than the minimum UXGA 1600x1200 necessary for 4-table, no overlap.

Whoops. Forgot that the W meant widescreen. I love having a widescreen on my laptop, but I really wish it did 19x12 instead of 14x1050

I just got my 8600 WUXGA in the mail this week and its a whole new world. 4 tables with room left over, what an immense difference from my old desktop! I highly recommend.

My laptop is 1400x1050 - it's SXGA+. It's not widescreen.

Are you really running WSXGA+ (1620x1050)?

Once upon a time, I knew what all of these meant.

My screen is definitely a widescreen. It's a 15.4" acer widescreen. I know it's not 1600 wide, cause I still have overlap with two screens. I was under the impression that 1400x1050 was generally widescreen, otherwise compression or stretching is going on.
