with all these kids asking if they can play underage in a casino, lets say you were at a table with someone who looks very young and you lose a big pot to them. If you asked the floor to card them and they were underage, do you get your share of the pot back?

[/ QUOTE ]

The trick is to rat out the under age players that can beat you BEFORE they beat you -- not after.

Technically, if they are under 18 and you lose to them, you may have to return the money to THEM. It is illegal for a minor to enter into a contract.

In no circumstances would I ever allow a PLAYER to ask that another player be carded, particularly not if they were intentionally shooting an angle trying to win a pot that they are not entitled to. Verifying legal age of players is cardroom business, and once they are seated, they ARE legal as far as the rest of the players at the table are concerned, and it's not a negotiable issue just because a large pot is at stake!

I cannot imagine any sensible floorman feeling differently about this.

I have a vague recollection a player winning tens of thousands of dollars at a poker table on one of the Illinois river boats and when he was cashing out he was carded by the casino. If my recollectuon serves the casino kept the money. I have failed in my attempt to verify ny recollection so take it for what it is worth.

I assume you meant they lose to you, but it is a stretch to find a contract here

Contracts with minors are unenforceable, not illegal.
Turning Stone is 18 and up.
I imagine that a 14 year old's parent would have no trouble getting all the kid's money back from the house, with a threat of exposure. A 17 year old might be different.
